    Warm winter accessories - which ones to choose and how to style them?

    It might seem that a wool scarf, a bobble hat, thick over-the-knee socks, or leather gloves are just ordinary, simple accessories that play a secondary (if not tertiary) role in winter outfits. Nothing could be further from the truth! Currently, manufacturers of such accessories are outdoing each other with proposals of interesting cuts, appealing shades, and new variants of accessories we've known for years. A warm winter hat can now be the foundation of an outfit, intriguing socks with wool boldly peek out from behind the tops of heavy boots, and a thick scarf creates a colorful frame emphasizing your complexion type. If you look at winter accessories in a creative and unconventional way, we are sure that this year's winter outfits will take on a completely new expression. Below we present some ideas on how to play with inconspicuous, warm accessories. We invite you to read and draw a dose of inspiration from it!

    Warm winter hat - the basis of a warming wardrobe

    A bobble hat, a trapper hat, a wool hat, a classic beret, or perhaps… earmuffs? Our proposal is simple: complete your winter outfits this year with headwear you've never had before! Do you usually wear plain hats with the tip falling to the back of your head? If so, then this time opt for a slightly crazier version - namely, a bobble hat. They have remained in trends for several seasons, and additionally, this model will give you a dose of girlishness and softness, "taming" the entire outfit (imagine what a perfect effect you will achieve by combining a bobble hat with heavy, almost motorcycle boots)!

    Remember that a warm winter hat should be made of natural materials. This is not only about maintaining its neat appearance (acrylic, polyester, and other synthetic knits and fabrics pill faster and lose their structure with wear) but also about your comfort. A thick, warm winter hat made of wool or cotton will not contribute to excessive oily hair (it will also ensure proper air circulation) and… will reduce hair static!

    Leather and wool gloves - a winter must-have

    As we mentioned above, natural materials used for winter accessories are much more comfortable to wear than those made of synthetic fabrics and knits. Therefore, proposals made of cotton, wool, or leather will be universal, comfortable, and practical, but in our opinion, the best choice will be to buy one of the last two options. Why?

    Leather gloves look very elegant. You can wear them with a wool coat, but also with a quilted parka with a tie at the waist. Their appearance will match outfits with dresses and skirts, they will work for a night out at the theater or for everyday wear - to work, and additionally, they are usually more fitted to the hand than knitted gloves - thus providing you with maximum comfort and freedom of movement for your hands. An obvious advantage of leather gloves is also how perfectly they protect against wind (due to the tightness of the material).

    If, on the other hand, you think that wool gloves are a good option only for younger users, then… we are happy to prove you wrong! There are many models of wool gloves on the market made of thin, yet warm material, perfectly fitted to even the slenderest hands, and additionally decorated with a bow, beads, or other fashionable embellishments this season. However, opt for wool mittens if you love winter snow fun (making snowmen, snowball fights) and… sometimes like to feel like you did when you were a child!

    Thick winter scarf - what to best pair it with?

    Winter outfits, of course, cannot do without proper, thick scarves. They not only have practical advantages (they obviously protect against cold, wind, and frost) but are also perfect for emphasizing a winter outfit! How to choose them? We have two ways:

    • this year, thick winter scarves in intense shades are extremely fashionable. They look great paired with monochrome outfits, against which they provide a surprising, colorful change! Currently, intense shades of orange or yellow dominate trends, although if such colors seem too bold to you, choose an equally fashionable wool or cotton scarf in wine colors, sandy beige, or intriguing, yet still delicate pistachio;
    • if you don't know which wool scarf to choose (or rather are still wondering about its shade), first consider whether your complexion type is cool or rather warm. Do you feel better in silver jewelry, steel grays, cold whites, or pastels? Most likely, your complexion type is cool - so invest in such a shade of scarf. If, on the other hand, you prefer gold accessories, you love warm, fiery reds, beiges, browns, and earth tones - warm colors will look best on you!

    Why is the color of a thick winter scarf so important? Together with your hair, eye color, and skin tone, it will create a harmonious facial image - an unfavorably chosen material color can create an aging effect and make your face look gray and tired. Follow our advice and always look radiant - even in winter!

    Wool tights, warm socks and thick over-the-knee socks - protect your legs from the cold!

    The last type of winter accessories that are definitely worth having in your wardrobe are, of course, leg "warmers" - wool tights, warm socks, and winter over-the-knee socks will certainly provide thermal comfort, and additionally emphasize the legs and the character of the entire outfit. How to combine them with other wardrobe elements?

    • Monochrome, thick wool tights (such as LOLA model from Lores, available in many different shades) are an excellent choice for colder months. Above all, paired with shoes of the same or a similar color, they will optically slenderize your legs and make them appear longer! Additionally, they are universal enough to be matched with any outfit. They will look great with a simple dress for work, as well as with a sequined skirt and a cool top for a party with friends. You can wear them for a walk, dinner with your loved one, and a family lunch. In short, thick wool tights are simply a must-have in a winter wardrobe!
    • Thick wool socks are a real hit of the season. You don't have to hide them (as you once did) in tall boot shafts or under trouser legs - quite the opposite! Wool socks should definitely be visible and give the whole outfit a mischievous and nonchalant character. Wear them with dark tights and biker-style ankle boots, as well as with narrow trousers and trapper boots - that's when warm wool socks will look best (in the Lores store, you can find and order such a model under the name CALZINO)!
    • Winter over-the-knee socks might seem at first glance like an accessory that only suits teenage outfits. Nothing could be further from the truth! In the Lores online boutique, you will find thick over-the-knee socks in muted colors (for example, the PARIGINA model), with interesting, subtle, sweater-like weaves. They look great with heavier boots, from behind which they peek out in a mischievous way, but also with short ankle boots and a casual dress - this is, of course, an option for everyday wear. Remember that winter over-the-knee socks can be treated solely as an additional layer of warmth, removing them indoors. It's entirely up to you how you style them!

    Remember that winter outfits don't have to be gray and boring at all! Add some color to them, enliven them with an interesting cut or an unusual accessory that will give the entire outfit an individual, modern character!
