Most often, we refer to hosiery made of elastic, thin yarn as tights. Pantyhose are a thicker variety of tights, containing, for example, wool or cotton. We also often speak of pantyhose when it comes to children's clothing.

Of course, there is also another school of thought. According to the Polish language dictionary, "rajstopy" (tights) and "rajtuzy" (pantyhose) are simply synonyms. So you can use these words interchangeably. However, due to linguistic customs, "rajtuzy" are almost always associated with a thicker product, intended for colder seasons.
