Sheer black tights are the epitome of elegance! 

Monica Bellucci, Sophia Loren, Isabella Rossellini are icons of Italian style. These famous actresses set trends that many women couldn't resist. What happened today? Fashion is fleeting, trends change at an alarming rate, and it's hard to keep up. So, what if we went back to that time and drew Italian inspiration from the creations of top actresses?

Today I want to show you some film frames where Monica Bellucci, Sophia Loren, and Isabella Rossellini look incredibly feminine and elegant. These frames are united by one detail that completes the actresses' styling: sheer black tights, subtly emphasizing the shape of the legs, while adding sensuality and elegance to the outfit.

Sophia Loren, an icon of Italian style and cinema, starred in one of the main roles in Robert Altman's comedy "Prêt-à-Porter" in 1994. The film tells the story of French Fashion Week and the intrigues plotted by its participants. Although the story takes place in France, Sophia Loren exudes Italian style.

The Italian stylings of both actors may seem dull at first glance, but when you pay attention to the carefully selected accessories and high-quality details, their outfits acquire an individual character. Sophia Loren's Italian style in this film is based on fitted suits, wide-brimmed hats, fashionable glasses, and tights. The favorite model of Italian women is sheer black tights – universal, suitable for many outfits, optically slimming the leg, and concealing imperfections.

Sophia Loren wears Italian tights with grace and elegance, and her styling from the film "Prêt-à-Porter" can be an inspiration for building autumn outfits for each of us. The combination of a pencil skirt, a fitted jacket finished with a delicate peplum, and women's tights of 15-20 denier in black, is a great set for the office, a family gathering, or a date.

Italian actress Isabella Rossellini became recognizable after appearing in David Lynch's film "Blue Velvet." Her original beauty captivated both fans and critics, and the actress herself received more and more collaboration offers. In 2011, at the age of 60, she starred in the film "Late Bloomers." She played the main character, who cannot cope with the fact that youth has passed, and her body, relationship, and mind are still aging. However, even despite life's dilemmas, Isabella Rossellini, in the role of the already mature Mary, maintains Italian style and dresses very carefully.

Film Mary, played by Isabella Rossellini, wears fitted but not too tight cuts, and likes to add a strong color accent to each outfit – as in the photo above. Her outfits show Italian inspirations, combining femininity and elegance. She also wears Italian tights with her dress – a sheer black model, discreet, yet emphasizing the shape of her legs.

Isabella Rossellini in this rendition is the quintessence of Italian style – such a set will be ideal for a date, a trip to the cinema or theater, as well as for a corporate meeting or a family celebration. Sheer black tights, a dark cocktail dress, and a striking coat or a fitted blazer are, in my opinion, a universal styling that will always pass the test – regardless of the circumstances and... age. 

Monica Bellucci's Italian style 

The third icon of Italian style, and an actress loved by millions of viewers worldwide, is Monica Bellucci. Her southern, statuesque beauty became her trademark. From the beginning of her career, she had no shortage of admirers, and in 2015, cinematic James Bond also joined their ranks in the film "Spectre." Bellucci played Lucia Sciarra – the wife of a wealthy criminal pursued by agent 007. Their meeting ended up in bed, but what I remember most from her episode in the latest "Bond" was Bellucci's outfit, which she wore during her husband's funeral – a styling in classic Italian style.

The beautiful jacket finished with wonderfully flowing lapels gives Monica Bellucci's figure ideal hourglass proportions. The fascinator on her head adds mystery, and the knee-length pencil skirt makes the whole outfit extremely elegant. Black, classic high heels combined with sheer black tights complete the entire outfit, which acquires a unique character.

Monica Bellucci is an undisputed icon of beauty. Italian style is an integral part of her image, and fitted sets incredibly emphasize her figure. She likes to wear black women's tights with a sheer finish that perfectly emphasize her long legs. Personally, I draw Italian inspiration from this actress, because by recreating her styling, I am not afraid of making a fashion faux pas and I am sure that I will combine elegance and sensuality in good proportions.
