Tights thickness - denier scale

1 denier means 1g of yarn per 9000 meters in length; dtex is standardly 1g of yarn per 10000 meters in length. The most frequently chosen thickness is 20 denier, although ultra-thin and exceptionally thick tights for special occasions are also available.
- 8 denier/9 dtex – these are exceptionally delicate, sheer tights. They are light and airy, perfect for hot weather if your dress code requires wearing tights even on warm days. You can also wear thin Italian tights with an elegant outfit for evening events.
- 15 denier/17 dtex – also very sheer tights, ideal as a complement to business attire. Matte ones are popular for the office, while shiny tights are an accessory for parties.
- 20 denier/22 dtex – models with this designation will be a classic choice worn by women worldwide. Available in many colors and various patterns. These are classic tights, suitable for almost all occasions.
- 30 denier/33 dtex – a slightly thicker model of tights that provides light coverage. They subtly even out the skin tone of the legs. If you want to mask minor imperfections, this type of tights will be the ideal choice.
- 40 denier/44 dtex – tights recommended for slightly colder days. They work great in both nude and matte black versions. Considered opaque tights, although when stretched, some sheerness may appear. They perfectly match clothes made of slightly thicker fabrics.
- 60 denier/66 dtex – 60 denier tights provide very strong coverage and are warm enough that you can easily wear them on cold days. If you're looking for colored tights whose color won't look pale, 60 denier will be the ideal thickness.
- 80 denier/88 dtex – warm opaque tights for winter, perfect as a complement to outfits with wool dresses or skirts. You can also wear winter tights with outfits featuring shorts and boots or heavier ankle boots if you like rock accents.
- 100 denier – these are thick tights for the demanding: they have very strong coverage, making them pair well with thicker materials. If you plan to wear a wool skirt, black tights of this thickness will be perfect.
- 150 denier – tights for people who want to look elegant regardless of the weather. Even severe frosts are not an obstacle for you to wear your favorite dress? Choose winter tights that will protect you from the cold in any situation.
- 240 denier – thick tights are becoming increasingly popular. If you freeze at the bus stop every morning or give up walks due to the cold, tights of this thickness will be the solution; this thickness also includes special anti-varicose vein tights that provide a feeling of rested and slender legs.
- 300 denier – thermal tights with a thickness of 300 denier have soft plush on the inside. They are ideal even for the bitterest frosts; wear them with tunics or dresses resembling thick, loosely knitted sweaters. They will also be perfect as a complement to an outfit for the ski slope.
