Office Dress Code – How to Break It?

Choosing a dress or skirt for work is quite a challenge – especially when the workplace has a strict office dress code. However, this doesn't mean boring and uninteresting outfits that make you feel uncomfortable and less feminine. The variety of styles, patterns, and colors, and above all, the abundance of different accessories, means that work outfits can be arranged in many different ways.
In my opinion, office dress code can be diversified in several ways: the first is a vibrant color. You don't have to wear a loud color from head to toe right away, but a subdued bottle green, blue, elegant cobalt, or pastel shades of yellow or pink always look classy. Secondly – textures and patterns. A dress for the office doesn't have to be plain at all, and a skirt for work with an interesting embossed material will look more intriguing than its completely plain version. The third way to enliven your work outfit is to choose the right accessories – for example, an interesting handbag, large earrings, or… patterned tights. Below, I've prepared a few sets that might inspire you – happy reading!
Office dress and sheer tights – a classic choice for everyday or a meeting
Even the simplest office dress in a subdued color can gain stylish chic if, instead of sheer tights, you wear tights with hearts or polka dots. This is a small, discreet pattern that doesn't play the main role in an office work outfit but emphasizes the legs and gives the set a somewhat girlish character. Polka dot and other patterned tights will be ideal for those of you who don't like rigid rules and want to break them with a romantic accessory. For bolder ladies, I recommend openwork tights with small meshes, which are truly visible only up close. If we choose patterned tights, it's worth keeping the rest of the accessories in subdued styles and colors: a black bag on a decorative chain and a gray blazer will certainly do the job.

Office skirt – flared or pencil with push-up tights
A classic element of the office dress code is the pencil skirt. However, its cut doesn't have to be completely plain – if you like various options in choosing your outfit, opt for a black work skirt with an interesting cut: a pencil skirt with a vertical ruffle (which beautifully slims the figure) or a flared one, masking the hips. With a subdued bottom, you can go wild with the top – a shirt with a simple, office cut in romantic flowers will suit all my skirt suggestions. Sheer tights (or patterned tights that match the flowers on the skirt) will suffice. If you think your figure doesn't allow you to wear pencil skirts to work, get push-up tights, which beautifully shape the figure in strategic places. The finishing touch will be large, decorative earrings, drawing the interlocutor's attention to your face.

Women's suit and sheer knee-highs – a stylish and feminine set
A proposal for slightly bolder ladies is a women's suit. It will work not only as a work outfit but also for other occasions: family gatherings, parties with friends, and even as a wedding guest outfit. Its character is, of course, a matter of accessories: for a women's suit in a saturated, cobalt color, I recommend classic, sheer knee-highs. Instead of high heels, it's worth opting for comfortable flat shoes (jazz shoes), and completing the look with a simple black blouse. These types of work outfits require a bit of fashion courage, but the comfort they guarantee and the impression you'll make on colleagues and clients are invaluable!
