How to warm up in autumn?

Autumn is the time for seasonal pleasures: reading a book with a cup of warm tea in your hands, eating delicious dishes made from nature's bounty, long sessions with your favourite TV series, and... justified laziness. Below you will find some of my ways to make the time more pleasant and, above all, how to warm up in autumn after returning from work, a walk or a meeting. Happy reading!
Seasonal vegetables and soups for autumn
How to warm yourself from the inside in autumn, after returning home? It's obvious: eat a bowl of hot, aromatic soup! My suggestions include thick and hearty cream soups (led by pumpkin – of course), as well as recipes using fermented vegetables. Sour cucumber soup or warming sauerkraut soup are a real must-have when it comes to autumn soups!
By using seasonal vegetables such as carrots, beets, parsley, or celery, you can play with warming spices and experiment with new flavours. What goes best with autumn cuisine? Turmeric, nutmeg, and curry will work well in oriental dishes. Chili, cayenne pepper, and hot paprika will, in turn, suit Mexican-style dishes. Pepper, marjoram, and lovage will enhance any autumn soup with a homemade aroma and taste. Don't wait any longer – stock up on seasonal vegetables and start your autumn kitchen revolution!

Herbs to drink, the best teas and cocoa, or warming up from the inside
And what after dinner? A book, a series, a movie, crocheting, and... a delicious, hot drink! This combination is an autumn classic, without which it is hard to imagine this season. Autumn is indeed ideal for testing the best teas (green, red, white, flavoured... use everything that comes to mind). In addition to classic tea, it is also worth getting to know herbs for drinking – hair-strengthening nettle, immune-boosting rockrose, digestion-regulating chamomile, or calming lemon balm will be excellent companions for autumn series-watching or reading sessions. Give it a try!
Delicious, autumnal, and warming cocoa is also a great option. Feel like a child again and prepare this sweet drink in your favourite mug – but remember this time to choose real, dark cocoa. To create a more fit version, you can sweeten the drink with xylitol or honey, and for a more interesting taste, add cardamom, nutmeg, cinnamon, or... chili!

Herbal infusions and the best teas are a perfect way to make autumn evenings more pleasant
Autumn gadgets to make your cold evenings more pleasant
The increasingly early darkness combined with falling temperatures means one thing: reaching for the ultimate weapon. And that is... autumn gadgets, without which it is impossible to survive the gloom and slush. What is included in the handy kit? Firstly: a hot water bottle. Filled with hot water and placed around the lumbar area, it will pleasantly warm the body, help with falling asleep, and effectively relax muscles. In addition to a hot water bottle, it is worth having an electric heating pad, which is an autumn gadget for those truly craving warmth. An electric heating pad will be useful after bathing, to maintain body temperature, and also to relax tense shoulders and neck.
Among autumn gadgets, there must also be warm, soft, and comfortable clothes: roomy slippers, a thick sweater, and warm leggings are the ideal set for lounging. Don't forget about a blanket, which will be useful if autumn leggings prove less effective in warming up before a movie marathon. Fight the cold, wrap yourself in a blanket burrito, put on warm leggings and socks, and enjoy the autumn atmosphere!
