Winter 2020/2021 trends – what to have in your wardrobe?

The most fashionable designs and styles that have been circulating in winter wardrobes for years can be timeless and classic. Among them are, for example, long boots, a wool coat, a set of "warmers", i.e., a hat or cap with gloves. As for patterns, one cannot forget about the immortal Vichy check or colorful gradients (the motif of one color blending into another). Ankle boots and oversized sweaters have also become classics. If you have all these elements in your wardrobe, but want to "go wild" with winter fashion this season, you can check out the winter trends created by great designers. If not entirely, then perhaps at least partially, you can invite the most fashionable patterns, accessories, and styles into your wardrobe.
Summer dresses for... winter? Why not!
This season, winter fashion draws heavily from... summer designs and styles. This is evident, for example, in the designs of winter dresses – they are light, voluminous, oversized, and resemble those that could be found on a beach or a seaside promenade. When choosing your model, it's worth remembering that a lining should be placed under the layers of thin material (or it can be replaced with a retro-style slip). Winter fashion is one thing, and health... is another!
These types of winter dresses will look great in boho styles. Loose hair, an oversized hat, long boots and a coat, as well as opaque, thick tights – this is a set combining many winter trends. Thanks to the vertical lines visible within the coat fastening or a long winter dress, the silhouette will gain lightness and become optically elongated.

Fashionable winter dresses can combine summer lightness with dark, muted colors – typical for colder seasons.
Thick tights – colorful and patterned
During the presentation of the winter collections for 2021, many designers decided to add expressive, thick tights. And although it may not seem groundbreaking at first glance, looking at photos from the catwalks, one gets the impression that winter tights – patterned, colorful, and plain – are experiencing their second youth. Winter trends show that original patterned and colorful tights will be worn with both narrow office skirts and flared boho-style dresses, which I mentioned earlier.
Tights for winter are an indispensable part of the wardrobe for many of us, although many women still treat this accessory as a "necessary evil" and longingly await spring. However, it is worth spending a few moments on carefully selecting various models of patterned tights and plain ones, to have fun with winter fashion and slightly change the face of your wardrobe.

Winter tights in various patterns and colors are a true must-have in a woman's wardrobe!
Floral and houndstooth clothing – two of the most fashionable patterns this season
When it comes to winter trends, it's also worth checking which most fashionable patterns will be desired this season. Well – designers have prepared two extreme proposals for us, which often appeared on the catwalks in both everyday sets and cocktail dresses or outerwear. We are, of course, talking about floral clothing and houndstooth clothing.
Let's start with the second pattern – houndstooth clothing consists of extremely elegant and timeless models, although this pattern also likes to appear in everyday, seemingly "ordinary" outfits, giving them the chic of old Hollywood movie stars. Floral clothing, on the other hand, is most often dresses – I already mentioned this in the first part of the text – winter dresses with large flowers or a small meadow print are one of the most romantic winter trends!

Houndstooth and floral clothing will be some of the most fashionable patterns this winter!
Retro styles – a women's suit or... a women's suit for the office, for meetings, and parties
Patterned tights, classic heels, a long, wool coat, and... a women's suit or a women's suit jacket and skirt are a combination straight from the catwalks – elegant, timeless, drawing on retro inspirations in their design. Such a set will be perfect for the office, although two unbuttoned buttons on the jacket and a slightly shorter skirt can make the outfit suitable for a house party, a date, or even... a club party.
A women's suit in an elegant check or a women's suit jacket and skirt in a pastel shade can turn out to be truly sensual outfits. The addition of seamed tights at the back or choosing a cut-out neckline under the blazer makes the outfit eye-catching, while still looking classic and fashionable. Be bold and try similar styles this winter!

A dress and thick tights don't have to be the only office uniform – sometimes it's good to opt for a women's suit!
And do you follow winter fashion? Or do you only follow your own preferences when choosing clothes? If you liked any of the designers' proposals for winter trends the most – let us know in the comments!
