Fashionable Tights for Autumn and Winter – Must-Have Models for Your Warderobe!

Winter tights and autumn models are a must-have in my wardrobe. I love wearing dresses and skirts all year round – even during the colder months – and I can't imagine giving up this item of clothing. Fashionable tights – whether plain, opaque, or patterned – beautifully accentuate the legs and are multi-functional. They can serve as a background for an outfit or – thanks to a distinctive pattern – come to the forefront. They allow you to wear dresses and skirts during the colder months, provide freedom and comfort of movement, and keep you warm. Thick winter and autumn tights also flatter the figure, smoothing out any bulges around the stomach and hips. In my opinion, wearing this clothing item has only advantages!

Seamed tights, patterned, with over-the-knee socks motif – get inspired by unique designs!

When it comes to patterned tights, this season I’ve already stocked up on a few unique pairs that will definitely stand out from ordinary outfits and grey, gloomy days. What models are these?

• Seamed tights. This is an extremely elegant model with many advantages. First of all, seamed tights optically lengthen and emphasize the legs. In addition, they are timeless – for several decades, women have been wearing them to work, for special occasions, or during less formal situations. I believe that their charm lies in their simplicity and that they are a must-have in every woman's wardrobe who loves understated, timeless accessories.
• Sheer nude tights. Similar to seamed tights, a sheer model in a skin-like colour is an indispensable accessory for autumn. It will be perfect for grand outings (to a wedding or a party), as well as for work. On the other hand, sheer black tights are the epitome of femininity – this is the model worn by Marilyn Monroe or Italian actresses. Be inspired by them!
• Tights-over-the-knee-socks and models imitating over-the-knee socks. This is a slightly bolder proposition, in quite a party atmosphere. It will be especially suitable during the holiday season and carnival. Tights-over-the-knee-socks look very sexy and can be "played with" in many ways – with a short dress, a longer skirt, or shorts.
• Patterned tights with dots, leaves, hearts or other designs. They are perfect for autumn and winter – if only to save a boring, grey outfit. You can wear them to university, to meetings with friends, or even to work – if the pattern is subtle and not too flashy. Patterned tights are a great way to diversify your wardrobe and introduce fashion experiments!

Elegant opaque tights – a must-have for cold months

When it gets really cold outside, and I feel like wearing a dress or a skirt, I reach for thick opaque tights. Models with 60-70 den will be perfect as autumn tights. Those with a thickness of 80-100 den and more are warm winter tights, designed to provide us with thermal comfort.

My wardrobe contains several models of opaque tights in various colours. Black, classic models beautifully slim the legs, and when paired with heeled ankle boots in the same colour, they visually lengthen the legs almost to the sky. When I go to a party or want to liven up a plain, understated outfit, I opt for opaque tights in a vibrant, autumnal colour – bottle green, burgundy, or mustard yellow. Some of my favourite winter tights also include opaque models made of wool and featuring embossed patterns, looking like a warm, granny's sweater. These types of designs add a girlish charm and make us feel even warmer!

Tights socks – a great accessory for a party or the office

There is yet another accessory that many women forget about or associate with being boring and old-fashioned. I am referring to tights socks, now available in various designs and colours. Why are they an ideal choice for autumn and winter? First of all, they beautifully emphasize the ankle, peeking out between the boot shaft and the trouser leg. Secondly, they draw attention to original footwear – high heels or openwork ankle boots. Thirdly, they can match other accessories in the entire outfit, such as jewellery or a handbag.

My favourite tights socks for this season are richly decorated, almost jewelled models. Some are interwoven with shimmering silver or gold thread (perfect for New Year's Eve!), others have sewn-on pearls or glittering stones. Those worth wearing every day are decorated with floral motifs or bows flirtatiously peeking out from under trouser legs. There's plenty to choose from!
