Winter 2017/2018 trends: what will we be wearing?

Overview of proposals from Milan Fashion Week
Milan Fashion Week is an event that has attracted the attention of fashion lovers for years. To stay up-to-date with trends, I always try to follow the shows of the most famous designers who have decided to present new collections in a given season. This is a way to find your own style, which I recommend to everyone - Milan Fashion Week invariably delights and inspires, giving us the opportunity to choose patterns, decorations, colors, and textures that we can adapt to our wardrobe in a given season.
Milan Fashion Week is, in my opinion, the most inspiring fashion event in the world. Italy is not only the cradle of good style and bold designs but also promotes careful tailoring and high-quality materials. This is an extremely important message in the face of the wave of poor-quality products from China that is flooding us.
Today, I want to show you the trends that I myself will gladly adapt to my winter-autumn wardrobe, which I observed at the Milan Fashion Week for the autumn-winter 2018/2017 season.
Winter trend: turtleneck!
Turtleneck: some love it, others hate it. I believe that people who could never get used to turtlenecks simply haven't found a piece made of high-quality material. For a turtleneck to fit beautifully and not irritate the skin around the neckline, it's worth investing in a wool sweater with a silk blend or, for a more budget-friendly option, cotton. Such a material composition will ensure that the garment simultaneously retains warmth and prevents overheating.
A turtleneck adds seriousness to any outfit, so it will be ideal for the office or a business meeting. It can also be worn for less formal occasions, but then it's worth breaking its official character with a sassy accessory – a ramonesque jacket, a denim jacket, or a vest.
During Milan Fashion Week, the Agnona brand, part of the Italian Ermenegildo Zegna Group, presented a collection dominated by the turtlenecks I mentioned. Beautiful and simple designs fit into the casual trends for winter in the 2017/2018 season, see for yourselves:

Inspirations from Armani: hats and velour
The second trend I observed at Milan Fashion Week from Giorgio Armani himself is… hats! Master Armani placed them on the heads of almost all models participating in the show. This accessory is somewhat masculine and sassy, yet it adds an air of mystery to a woman – I will certainly consider buying a hat this autumn. Velour also reigned supreme in Armani's show, which many associate with curtain or upholstery material. Nothing could be further from the truth! The noble, slightly matte sheen of velour looks ideal in the form of well-tailored jackets and trousers. Together with a hat, they create an outfit that no one will pass by indifferently:

Play with pattern and texture!
An extremely interesting autumn-winter 2017 collection was presented by the Prada fashion house. The combination of English check with leather inserts, large pockets, and masculine-form newsboy caps with richly decorated skirts makes quite an impression. Prada invariably encourages its clients to create unexpected combinations – for example, an elegant, pencil skirt with a fluffy trim at the bottom. Perhaps these are somewhat too bold styles for everyday wear, but for winter parties? Why not!

Fusion of colors and hippie-patchwork
The legendary fashion house, Gucci, decided to stand in opposition to the autumn-winter aura and, defying the weather, dressed models from head to toe in... flowers. Allegedly, the inspiration for the designers was the alchemist's magical garden, and it must be admitted – the show's setting was also magical. I also see here inspirations from the 60s and 70s, when trends spread by hippies reigned supreme. Who knows? Perhaps this winter I will dare to wear a light floral dress with warm opaque tights?

Fishnets, sheer black tights and trendy leggings
Some designers also highlighted accessories that are essential in winter if one wants to wear a skirt or a dress. These accessories are, of course, tights (opaque, sheer, fishnet) and colorful leggings. Depending on the formality of the outfit, designers chose tights to match the overall look and not stifle the expression of the styling. Today, I will show you the most interesting - in my opinion - collections in which designers focused on exposing tights.
Daizy Shely, a designer from Israel, in her collection focused on combining elegant forms (coats, jackets, skirts) with a feminine model of tights, which are fishnets. The large mesh in this accessory catches the eye – in my opinion, it's an interesting solution for autumn, when the cold hasn't quite set in yet:

Meanwhile, Arthur Arbesser, a young designer born in Vienna, presented a collection where thin, black polka dot tights became an indispensable element. This sexy accessory emphasized the feminine character of the designs and added lightness to them. Thin, black tights are extremely sensual and evoke hosiery traditions that also developed in Italy:

And what to wear on your legs when it gets colder and neither fishnets nor sheer black tights will match your outfit? The answer comes from the Italian brand MSGM, which dressed models in opaque tights in monochromatic colors – black and white. Such colors tone down the somewhat flamboyant collection and allow for an aesthetically "calmer" overall look:

When it gets completely cold, the best possible choice will be colorful leggings. This is exactly the accessory that Italian designer Alberto Zambelli focused on in his designs. His collection is dominated by colorful leggings and thick tights, somewhat resembling an addition to ballet dancers' and modern dancers' outfits. Fashionable leggings are those in pastel shades (pink, pistachio) or in an electrifying orange color:
